Why it costs more than a straight respray

To do it properly, areas like the door shuts, boot and bonnet edges and inner sills need painting too — otherwise the old colour peeks through every time you open a door. That extra work is what separates a proper colour change from a cheap blow-over.
Getting the colour right

The DVLA bit
If you change your car's colour you're required to tell the DVLA so your V5C logbook is updated. It's a straightforward change and we'll point you in the right direction on it.
