How the charges work
Returned cars are inspected against an industry fair wear and tear standard. Anything beyond it — kerbed bumpers, dents, deeper scratches, kerbed alloys — is charged, often well above what the repair would cost you.
What usually gets charged
Kerbed and scuffed bumpers, car-park dents, and scratches through the paint are the common culprits. Fixing them beforehand almost always works out cheaper.
Do the sums early
Bring the car in before the return date and we'll tell you honestly what's likely to be flagged and what will pass, so you only spend where it counts.
Leave enough time
Don't leave it to the final week. Give yourself a buffer to book the car in. Bring it to our Grimsby workshop, ask about a courtesy car, and hand it back with confidence.
